I never would have thought the most moving argument for same-sex marriage I would hear would come from a life-long Republican and veteran. Tears are visibly dripping from this man’s face as he recounts how he fought for so that all of his sons could live free and have equal rights. The final song is ‘Why Does the Sun Really Shine?,’ a follow-up to ‘Why Does the Sun Shine?,’ a 1959 folk tune they famously covered. The new track corrects some factual errors TMBG’s scientist fans pointed out; the original chorus, ‘The sun is mass of incandescent gas,’ becomes ‘The sun is a miasma of incandescent plasma.’ When it comes to science education, that’s leading by example.”

- Seed Magazine reviewing the latest children’s album by They Might Be Giants.

Beach calligraphy by Andrew van der Merwe (via Make blog)

Beach calligraphy by Andrew van der Merwe (via Make blog)

Disney buys Marvel: What happens when to beasts in the world of...

Disney buys Marvel: What happens when to beasts in the world of entertainment collide?

Fiscal convservatives (or not?)
